Historical Bitcoin Mining Calculator

Choose a completed-month date range and estimate how your selected miner would have performed using historical Bitcoin price, network difficulty, subsidy, and transaction fees. Set hardware cost, hosting rate, pool fee, and uptime to compare the period's BTC production and operating economics.

Historical Bitcoin Mining Results

Replay a completed period using historical Bitcoin prices and network difficulty.

Historical Simulation

Apply your selected hardware, purchase price, hosting rate, pool fee and 95% uptime to a completed historical period. This is a hypothetical reconstruction, including periods before this miner was available. Financing and tax benefits are excluded.

Keep every mined coin and pay bills with outside cash. The BTC return includes what that cash could have bought; it is not deducted from the coins in your wallet.

%

Percentage of the equipment invoice. Set 0 to exclude the machine's value. This is an assumed resale value at the end of the historical period.

How Historical Mining Profitability Is Calculated

Select a historical date range

Choose a start month and end month within the available history, or use a recent-period shortcut. Only completed months are included so a partial current month is not presented as a full month of mining revenue.

Separate market data from assumptions

The backtest uses historical monthly network data and your selected hardware, purchase price, power rate, pool fee, and uptime. Today's hardware quote is not a historical purchase price: enter an appropriate price for the period you are assessing. The hardware may not have been available then.

Understand the limits of a backtest

Monthly data simplifies changes within each month. Estimated output and costs do not recreate a specific machine's outages, pool payouts, repairs, or customer returns. Historical results do not predict future profitability.

Use the profitability snapshot for current market conditions, the mining profitability forecast for future assumptions and payment plans, or the profitability heatmap to compare multiple scenarios at once.

This hypothetical backtest is for information and education, not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. It is not a record of actual customer returns. Verify the assumptions and data before relying on the result. See our Terms & Conditions.
