Why the overlay matters

Growth continued through bull and bear markets

Site No. 2 was energized in Q4 2022, as the Terra/Luna collapse, FTX bankruptcy, and miner distress pushed Bitcoin and mining economics toward cycle lows.

The next buildout arrived around the 2024 halving, when the block subsidy fell from 6.25 BTC to 3.125 BTC. Capacity then expanded from 50 MW in early 2025 to more than 100 MW after a 50 MW hydro launch later that year.

The chart is not claiming that price caused each expansion. It shows that the company kept executing across radically different capital and mining environments.

Evidence and conventions

Dated milestones, transparent placement

Bitcoin prices come from Blockchain.com. The Inc. 5000 rank and growth rate come from Simple Mining's Inc. company profile. Current scale comes from the data center services page.

Quarter-only milestones are plotted at the middle of their quarter. That keeps the visual honest: the marker represents a period, not a fabricated exact energization date.

Company-provided milestones are labeled as such in the source record. Recognition and live-market data link to external sources.
